Adam Green - 02 Academy July 12th

After listening to some epic solo music from the Moldy Peaches front man, Adam Green - I was really looking forward to it. We met the band before the gig they are also Lightspeed Champion’s band and are in their own band called Space Camp. Really cool and very talented guys! (We are now facebook friends!! ;)) They did this amazing ‘Don’t Worry Baby’ - Beach Boys cover when I went to see Lightspeed.

Basically, Adam Green was annoyingly disappointing. Green was smacked off his face. He didn’t actually blink for the whole set and instead of singing he mumbled and gave the mic to the crowd. Green, in a gig of around 100 people continued to throw himself on top of us in his ever sweaty state. Being at the front made me quite vulnerable to these attacks and a few too many times was I underneath him. 

I was there to see Adam Green - the good singer and songwriter not some awful man who thought he was too good to bother. He played his last song ‘Dance With Me’ which was better… then he did an encore… which lead to the last song ‘Jessica Simpson’ by this point he’d thrown himself into the crowd and started to get intimate with a 14 year old girl. He then dragged her on stage and while the band played the song he tongued this 14 year old who was wrapped around his waist. Then let her sing it.

Adam Green is known for drug taking ‘I like drugs’ and his crazy on stage antics but at the end of the day I just wanted him to sing for me.
